Open Call for Al-Tiba9 Artist Directory 2024

Al-Tiba9 Contemporary Art is a leading international platform in the contemporary art world, facilitating print and digital distribution of featured artists in our magazine, art books, web, and social media presence, and through our participation in art fairs in Spain and Portugal.

Our artist page directory will serve as a development space for new and emerging talent as well as facilitate professional connections and collaborations across our extensive network of galleries, museums, art collectors and dealers, art professionals, and academics across the globe.

All visual artists in the fields of digital arts, photography, painting, architecture, sculpture & installations, film or video art, fashion design, interior design, and performance are invited to apply. Curation criteria will focus on those artists who present unique, future-oriented, innovative, and visionary conceptions through specific or varied media.

Inclusion in the directory will grant featured artists the benefit of international exposure to our network, engagement with our online and print readers, our institutional partners such as ArtsLibris Barcelona, ARCOmadrid, and ARCOlisboa, as well as curated connections with fellow artists across various platforms. They will be engaged with our readers and followers daily through our social media, website, print, and digital issues.

NOTES:

The directory and pages, as with all our publications, are 100% curated editorial content. No commercial ads are published alongside your work.
Selected artists will be featured in the annual directory 2024, with a dedicated page with artwork images, and details related to their art. The directory will be hosted on the Al-Tiba9 website.
Selected artists benefit from international exposure across our network.
All selected artists will benefit from a dedicated webpage on our website, contact details, biography, artist statement and 5 images of selected artworks.
All selected artists will be promoted via our website, social media, and newsletters, as well as be eligible for recommendations from our staff and partners for commissions, collaborations, and exhibitions.

ELIGIBILITY:

Artists are welcome to submit their work. All techniques and visual mediums are welcome.
Artists from all countries are welcome to submit.
Artists previously featured in our publications are welcome to submit their works.
Accepted Categories: Painting, Photography, Sculpture, Installation, Video art & Film, Digital Art, Fashion Design, Performance art, Urban & Street Art, Illustration & Animation.

HOW TO APPLY:

PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW CAREFULLY

Application is FREE of charge.
DO NOT apply without reading the guidelines.
Artists can only submit their applications via the form on our website. Applications via email or private messages will not be accepted.
All applications must be in English.
Biography and statement texts should be written in English and in the third person.
All artists are required to select one or more categories for which they want to be considered. If you are applying for more than one medium, please send us different folders with the proposed work for each category.
Contact details and supporting information must be provided through the same form below. Only one application per artist is permitted.
The closing date and time for receipt of all proposals are December 1st, 2024 at 11:00 pm. Proposals received after this time will not be accepted.
Incomplete applications will be rejected. Folders sent via a link to Google Drive/Dropbox MUST be open. All Wetransfer applications will be rejected.
The application is always free of charge. A SELECTION FEE OF 90€ IS APPLIED TO SELECTED ARTISTS ONLY.

NOTIFICATION:

Notification will be made via email. Only selected applicants who provide a working email address will be notified via email.
Incomplete applications will be rejected.
