Ferran Capo | Photography

Ferran is a multidisciplinary artist working with drawing, photography, and film. His work engages with matter, physicality, and experimentation, using film, photography, light, liquids, paint, pigments, and other materials. It is often expressive, psychedelic, texturised, bold, and full of colour.

Both abstract and figurative, his artwork is influenced by underground and pop cultures, as well as the urban environment in which he grew up as a teenager. His process involves what he calls material properties; even when working with digital mediums, the work retains a strong analogue component. He also looks for errors and unexpected results during the process and explores what can be learned from them.

The work addresses themes of justice, identity, pleasure, and belonging, focusing on the individual’s fight against systemic forces and the attempt to elevate through art. It reflects on matter and perception of reality, questioning what it means to be human, how reconnection is possible, and what lies behind the curtains of the self.
